Another one of our group who also originates from New Zealand, Dan has always enjoyed swimming and took up the sport several years ago. Dan has tackled a couple of the sports most punishing events when he sucessfully completed the Cook Straight in 2007 and the Rottnest Island Swim in 2005. He is currently training for a solo crossing of the English Channel in 2011.

Dan's achievements so far are:

- Completed a solo crossing of the Cook Straight in 2007 in a time of 10hrs__mins.
- Was a sucessful solo competitor in the 2001 Rottnest Island Swim Classic in a time of __
- Sucessfully swam across Port Phillipp Bay in 2006 in a time of ___
- Sucessfully completed __ 'Harry Raisbeck'winter mile swim classics.
- Competed in numerous open water events in Victoria over the years.
- Currently in training for a solo crossing of the English Channel in 2011.
- Dan can be spotted training every second weekend in the turquoise waters just off Williamstown.
